Welcome

Welcome to the Pinner Free Church (Baptist) website. Please explore the site through the links above and find out more about the church. We are a welcoming and friendly group of Christians who share a common faith in God through Jesus Christ. We would love to see you on Sunday morning, and if you would like to have more information please do not hesitate to get in contact with us.

We are affiliated to the Baptist Union of Great Britain and our church has Christians from many different backgrounds and from half a dozen countries. We work closely with several other local churches, and to find out more about the wider Christian community in Pinner we suggest you follow the link to the Pinner Association of Churches at the bottom of this page, or in the Useful Links section above.

We believe our mission statement embodies our attitude and the atmosphere of the church:

We commit ourselves to seeking God's will for us and our church; being prepared to go forward with courage, open to change, taking risks where needed and trusting in God. We will encourage one another, listen to one another, appreciate and value everything that people do and all the resources that we have. We will welcome everyone and seek every opportunity to make God's love known to all.

We are now entering an Interegnum. Our Minister, Simon Prout, is leaving us to answer a call to Friar Lane and Braunston Baptist Church in Leicester; we wish him and Gail every blessing and pray that his new ministry may prove to be fruitful. We will be looking for a new minister and pray for God's guidance for all those involved in finding the right person.

Centenary Celebrations

2010 is our Centenary Year. We are celebrating 100 years of fellowship in our current building, and 150 years of Baptist community in Pinner. Our celebrations started at harvest last year and will end with the harvest supper on the 9th October and special parade service on the 10th at which a speaker from Mercy Ships will receive a presentation cheque. There have been many events and a few are still to come but the pinnacle was the Flower and Music Festival and Centenary Service weekend held in May. Many thanks to all those who attended and made it such a wonderful weekend; it was lovely to meet so many old friends again.

As part of our Centenary we are supporting the Mercy Ships UK charity, details can be found here. So far we have raised over £3500 and there are still a few fund raising opportunities ahead of us.

If you would like a copy of the Centenary Booklet or a Coaster please contact Joyce Eavis.
